Introduction
Semiannual Journal of Religious and Social Studies-JRSS (pISSN: 2789-0317) was initiated by the School of Religious and Social Studies -SRSS, Faisalabad, Pakistan in 2021 for research production in Religious and Social Studies and to accelerate the skills of researchers with a devotion. JRSS is an international scholarly journal, publishing peer-reviewed studies of religious thought and practice. It is available online to promote critical, hermeneutical, historical, and constructive conversations. JRSS promotes interdisciplinary approaches to any of the world’s religious/spiritual traditions. JRSS aims to serve the interests of a wide range of thoughtful readers and academic scholars of religion, as well as theologians, philosophers, social scientists, anthropologists, psychologists, neuroscientists, and others interested in the multidisciplinary study of religions.
Aims and Scope
Aims: Aims and objectives of JRSS include: -to encourage advanced scholarly research on contemporary issues of the modern era, in addition to the traditional approach to various branches of Islamic learning on Islam, which aims at a legitimate Islamic verdict on complex social, individual, and scientific issues. -to help academic researchers get their writings published in all domains of religious studies in general and Islamic studies in particular. -to deliver analytical reviews on the latest books and other academic materials. -to publish articles after the blind peer review process, which is carried out by leading specialists in Islamic & religious studies in order to enhance the Islamic scientific research which addresses the issues faced by our societies. -to develop diversity, tolerance, and fruitful scholarly discussions among researchers without any ethnic, national, or religious discrimination. So JRSS welcomes scholars from around the world to submit their scholarly contributions to our platform. Scope: The scope of the Journal is deliberately given as wide a berth as possible; various aspects of Religious Thought and Civilization, Social and Natural Sciences, Islamic, Oriental, and Occidental Studies, Comparative Religions, and Civilizations as well as contemporary issues that interface with Islam in the current geopolitical environment are addressed. It includes Qur’anic Studies, Hadith, Islamic Philosophy, Islamic Law, Islamic History and Society, Islamic Thought and Literature, Islamic Origins, Islam and Peace, Islamic Civilization, Muslim Societies, Islamic Philosophy and Theology, Indo-Islamic Civilization, Oriental and Occidental Studies in the context of Islam and Muslims, Comparative Religions, Conflict of Modernity and Tradition, contemporary issues like Growing Islamophobia, Critical Muslim Studies, Liberation Theologies, Anthropology of Islam, Postcolonial Studies and Muslims, etc.
