Introduction
The Southeast Asian Media Studies is the international, bi-annual, blind peer-reviewed, and open-access scholarly journal of the Southeast Asian Media Studies Association (SEAMSA), an academic community that aims to be at the forefront of Southeast Asian media studies and research.
Aims and Scope
Southeast Asian Media Studies Journal aims to be at the forefront of media research in Southeast Asia. The journal concentrates on Southeast Asian media frameworks, perspectives, theories, and practices. Submissions adhering to the journal’s aims and scope will be considered for publication. The journal welcomes scholarly articles, book reviews, film festival reviews, as well as exhibition and event reviews.

Dear Sir or Madam, SEAMSJ is the flagship publication of the Southeast Asian Media Studies Association. The association has 900 individual members and 14 institutional partners in Southeast Asia and beyond. We have published 10 issues already and 2 issues are currently in the works.
